Combined experience of 65+ years.

Brian and Bonnie are a husband and wife team who opened Currie & Currie as a litigation boutique in 2012 after working for many years as shareholders at a prominent litigation firm in downtown Jacksonville. Currie & Currie was created out of their passion for using the practice of law to solve problems and desire to expand their services. Since opening their doors, Brian and Bonnie have assisted countless businesses, individuals and families navigate the legal system, overcome its challenges and share in victories - from pre-suit investigation, to litigation and mediation and, when necessary, through trial. Both have been recognized for their professionalism, legal ability and ethics, and they prioritize personal service, accessibility and responsiveness.

"Our clients have our personal cell numbers, we text on the weekends, that is what set's us apart from the rest."

Brian E. Currie

Brian has been litigating and trying cases in state and federal courts throughout Florida for over 35 years. While his focus has always primarily been medical negligence, Brian also has considerable experience handling other complex litigation, including catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases for both plaintiffs and defendants. He is certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Circuit Court Mediator and is enthusiastically evolving his practice to integrate significant work as a neutral.

In addition to membership in several professional associations for trial lawyers including ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates), where he recently completed a term as the Jacksonville Chapter President, Brian also serves on the Board of the Florida Bar Foundation. He has also served on the Board of Governors of the Jacksonville Bar Association and as the Chairman of a Fourth Judicial Court Grievance Committee. He has consistently received the highest peer review ratings for ethical standards and legal ability, holding an "AV" rating with Martindale-Hubbell, and is perennially included in the Florida Super Lawyer listing.

Brian is proud to be an Eagle Scout and his past community involvement includes service as President of Habitat for Humanity of Jacksonville (Habijax), a mentor in a juvenile justice program of the State Attorney’s Office, as a high school mock trial coach and as an appointee to the Duval County School Board’s Standing Committee on Desegregation.
